The Casper Oilers completed a successful weekend of baseball in the Jackson American Legion Tournament with a 8-0 win over Logan, Utah on Sunday. Zach Mathson had 3 hits in the game leading the Oilers.

The Oilers will be in Gillette on Wednesday before returning home to host the Mike Deverux Tournament starting on Thursday.

The Casper Cutthroats lost Sunday night to Cheyenne 10-3. Cheyenne scored 3 runs in the 3rd inning and 3 runs in the 5th inning. The Cutthroasts fall to 16-12 and will continue their series in Cheyenne tonight.

The Colorado Rockies beat the Washington Nationals Sunday afternoon 4-3. Former Casper player Jordan Pacheco doubled and scored the go ahead run in the 9th inning thanks to a wild pitch. Another former Casper player, Eric Young Jr. homered for the Rockies who enter the All-Star break with a record of 33-52, 13 and a half games behind the Los Angeles Dodgers in the NL West Division.

In tennis, Wimbledon's Gentlemen winner this year is Roger Federer who beat Andy Murray 4-6, 7-5, 6-3 and 6-4 to win the event for the 7th time and his 17th Grand Slam Championship. Murray was trying to become the first British male player since 1936 to win Wimbledon and was playing in his first final after 3 previous losses in the semifinals.
