Casper police have arrested the woman who allegedly caused a crash Wednesday morning on CY Avenue.

Jamie Strong, 24, was booked into jail on recommended charges of driving while under the influence and child endangerment, according to Rebekah Ladd, public information officer for the Casper Police Department.

No injuries were reported in connection with the wreck.

Ladd told K2 Radio News that the wreck was reported at 11:05 a.m. near the intersection of CY Avenue and Fairgrounds Road. Strong had been eastbound in a red Chevrolet pickup truck when she swerved and struck another truck that had been westbound on CY.

Strong's pickup spun around east of the intersection, crossed the westbound lanes and went through a grassy area into the Guadalajara parking lot, where she collided with a parked Ford pickup.

Strong had a young child in the vehicle with her. The first vehicle she hit, on CY Avenue, was occupied by only a driver. The parked pickup truck was unoccupied.

No one involved was transported for medical treatment.

Police officers were still investigating property damage at the scene after 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, Ladd said.
