The Casper Ghosts beat the Ogden Raptors Thursday night 8-6 at Lansing Field. The Ghosts trailed 6-3 but scored twice in the bottom of the seventh and three more times in the eighth for the win.

Although their playoff hopes are slim, the Ghosts got help from Idaho Falls who beat first place Orem 7-4. Casper is six games back with seven games remaining in the season. The Ghosts and Raptors wrapup the series tonight at 7:05pm.

Most Wyoming high school football teams are in action tonight as the 2011 season kicks into full stride. Both the Casper schools are home again tonight. Second ranked Natrona will play host to top ranked Sheridan, at Cheney Alumni Field. Pregame show at 6:45pm with kickoff at 7:00 on AM 1030 KTWO.Kelly Walsh will host Evanston at Harry Geldien Stadium. Kickoff is at 7:00pm. Other area teams have Glenrock opening the season at Thermopolis and Midwest opens up the season at Dubois.

Kelly Walsh volleyball team won their home opener Thursday night defeating Riverton three games to none. Scores were, 25-16, 25-6 and 25-15. Both KW and Natrona will be in Gillette for a tournament this weekend. The Casper College volleyball team will be in Iowa for a tournament this weekend as well.

The Denver Broncos lost to the Arizona Cardinals on the road in their final preseason game, 26-7. Most of the Broncos number one offense sat the game out, so it was a chance to see quite a bit of the backups, including Denver's Quarterbacks. Brady Quinn was 4 of 12 for 26 yards and an interception. Tim Tebow was 7 of 11 for 126 yards and a touchdown. The Broncos open up the season Monday night September 12 hosting AFC West Division rival Oakland.
