The Great Falls Voyagers handed the Casper Ghosts their second loss in the series Wednesday night 5-1 before 964 fans at Lansing Field. Rosell Herrera and Julian Yan each had two hits for the Ghosts.

Trevor Story scored the Ghosts only run on one of Herrera's hits. Ben Hughes went five innings for the Ghosts and picked up the loss. He allowed all five runs, four of them earned and struck out four. Andrew Douglas and Jeffer Patino each hit home runs for the Voyagers. The Ghosts hope to gain a spilt in the series as they two teams wrap it up tonight at 7:05pm on AM 1400 ESPN, with the voice of the Ghosts Adam Spolane Billings comes to Lansing Field tomorrow night for a weekend series.

High School Footbal preseaon practices are underway throughout Wyoming. The first football games will be played in 4A on Friday night August 26th. The Prep Game of the Week will premier that night with Cheyenne East at Casper Kelly Walsh. Due to our commitment to Casper Ghosts baseball on AM 1400 ESPN the football game will be on AM 1030 KTWO. In fact the following Friday September 2nd Game of the Week will also be on K2 Radio with Sheridan at Casper Natrona.

The Colorado Rockies got a good pitching performance from Aaron Cook who took it into the eighth inning and got help from Carlos Gonzalez with a three-run homer as the Rockies busted out to a 12-5 win over the Florida Marlins at Coors Field Wednesday night. Chris Iannetta also provided much of the offense for the Rockies with a double and a single to drive in four runs.
