It has been termed a hunger strike, however you can call it what you will. The University of Missouri is in a showdown with many of its football players.

The players want the institution's President removed for reasons regarding what they see as negligence to racism on the school's campus, according to the Missouri Legion of Black Collegians.

The athletes tweeted their feelings on Saturday night. It seems that the students have reached a boiling point of incidents they say having been going on for awhile now.

This protest is the latest in a series of protests by a group of students extremely frustrated with the administration's lack of response to racist incidents on the campus as well as issues with graduate student benefits.

The school president put out a statement on Saturday night as well acknowledging racism on campus, apologizing for some of his actions and calling for action to address that racism.
