Natrona Shuts Out Central To Start Season

The Natrona County Mustangs, who return just one starter from last years 4A state championship team opened the 2-15 campaign with a 16-0 win over Cheyenne Central at Riske Field on Friday night. The game was fairly ragged with a ton of penalties and miscues. NC prevailed thanks to a stout defensive effort and the running of Marc Feraud who rushed for 113 yards, including a 57 yards gallop for the games only touchdown. New Mustang quarterback Matt Benardis went 11-19 for 124 yards as NC goes to 1-0 on the year. They'll host Cheyenne East on Friday at Cheney Alumni Field
