A teacher was arrested on a charge of public intoxication Friday morning in Rock Springs.

Cole Seaver, a first-grade teacher, was arrested at Northpark Elementary School shortly after 10 a.m., according to a statement from Sgt. Clay Jarvie of the Rock Springs Police Department.

Officers responded to the school at 9:54 a.m. for a report of an intoxicated staff member. Upon arriving, the officers met with Seaver. Per the statement, Seaver appeared intoxicated and was arrested following an investigation.

"The Rock Springs Police Department would like to remind the community that all persons are considered innocent until proven guilty," Jarvie's statement concludes.

An affidavit was not immediately available, as courts were closed at the time of this writing. The police statement did not go into further detail.
