The Wyoming Cowboys hope to bounce back into the winner's side of things Saturday when they travel to Colorado State. The Pokes lost to New Mexico Wednesday night 63-59 at the AA in Laramie. With the loss UW falls to 2-5 in the Mountain West Conference and 15-5 overall. The Rams come in with a 4-2 conference record and 17-4 overall. Tip off Saturday is at 5:00pm on AM 1030 KTWO.

The Wyoming Cowgirls are at home tomorrow afternoon to face rival Colorado State. The Cowgirls are 5-2 in the MWC and 16-4 overall. CSU is 2-4 in conference play and 6-13 overall. It's a 2:00pm game at the AA in Laramie.

The Casper College basketball teams travel to Riverton Saturday to play Central Wyoming. Both teams snapped 3-game losing skids by beating Western Wyoming of Rock Springs on Wednesday night. The women's game is at 3:00pm with the men's game at 5:00 on AM 1400 ESPN.

The top ranked Natrona girls and the 5th ranked Kelly Walsh boys picked up wins Thursday night as the Casper schools matched up at the Casper Events Center. In the girls game, it was all Natrona as the Fillies with a 73-27 win. Gabby Johnson led NC with 23 points and Kaylee Johnson added 15. The Lady Trojans had a tough time handling the Natrona pressure that led to a lot of the 36 turnovers. KW was led in scoring by Sofia Hoff, Rachel Franke and Emily Erdahl each with 6 points. The Fillies remain unbeaten in the 4A West Conference at 5-0 and 14-2 overall. The Trojans drop to 3-2 in conference play and 3-14 overall. Natrona will host Rapid City Central on Saturday, and Kelly Walsh will be at Green River next Friday night.

In the boys match up, Kelly Walsh shut down Natrona as the Trojans beat the Mustangs 47-27. It was the second straight game that the Trojans have shut down their opponents scoring. Last Saturday KW beat Riverton 37-32, holding the Wolverines some 30 points under their average. Thursday night Kelly Walsh held 5th ranked Natrona to 10 first half points and 17 in the second half. The Trojans opened up the game in the third quarter and kept the pressure on the Mustangs. KW was led by Beecher Strube with 15 points and Jacob Tapp with 13. The Mustangs were led by Nathan Pieper with 8 points. Kelly Walsh improves their conference record to 3-2 and 9-9 overall. The Mustangs drop to 2-3 in the conference and 6-10 overall. The Trojans are at Gillette Saturday to face the top ranked Camels, and the Mustangs are off until next Friday night when they host Evanston. The Trojans will host Green River next Friday night and will be the Prep Game of the Week on AM 1400 ESPN.

The Ron Thon Wrestling Tournament is today and Saturday at Riverton. Over 40 teams from around the state from all four classifications are competing. Championship matches will be held Saturday afternoon.
