The Wyoming Cowboys improved to 10-0 defeating Oklahoma Panhandle State Saturday afternoon 74-55 at the AA in Laramie. Derrious Gilmore led the Pokes with 21 points and Leonard Washington with 16. The Cowboys will host Denver University a week from tomorrow.

The Wyoming Cowgirls improved to 7-1 with a 68-60 win over Montana State in Bozeman on Saturday afternoon. Chaundra Sewell led UW with 16 points and 11 rebounds. Kaitlyn Mileto added 15 points. The Cowgirls will host Weber State on Friday at the AA in Laramie.

Four rounds are in the books at the National Finals Rodeo at the Thomas and Mack Center in Las Vegas. Frank Gambino has the latest on how the Wyoming participants are doing at the bottom of this page in the Daily Sports Update.

In junior college basketball from Saturday, the Casper College men and women swept Central Wyoming of Riverton at Erickson Gym. The Lady T-Birds beat the Rustlers 66-40. Agata Dobrowolska led the T-Birds with 13 points and 11 rebounds. Casper also got 10 points from Cheyanne Balster (Natrona). The T-Birds (10-4) will host Eastern Wyoming of Torrington tonight at Erickson Gym. Tip-off is at 5:30pm and can be heard on AM 1400 ESPN.

The T-Bird men also picked up a win over Central Wyoming Saturday, 64-60, giving the Rustlers just their 2nd loss of the year. Dominique Lee with 21 points for the Birds to lead the way. Remi Debo dropped in 17 points. The T-Birds (10-3) are off for the Christmas break and will be at Dawson, Montana on January 5th.
