Kelly Walsh Girls Lose on Controversial Call

The Kelly Walsh girls lost a heartbreaking decision to Cheyenne Central on Thursday night 33-32 in the opening round of the 4A state tournament. As time expired with KW leading by one, Hallie Jimenez was called for a foul and the buzzer went off before the referees whistle. Plus it was called a shooting foul and Emily Evans and made 2 free throws with no time on the clock for the win. The Trojans were the #1 seed from the 4A West and drop to 13-10 on the year. KW plays Riverton at 10:30am in the consolation round.
