KW Boys, NC Girls Win State Track Titles
Two Casper teams won State Track championships over the weekend as the Kelly Walsh boys and Natrona girls prevailed at the Harry Geldien Stadium. The KW boys received 2 wins from Lamont Frisby in the 100 and 200 and qualified 5 guys for the 100 meter final. The Trojans also went 1-2 in the 200 meters to secure their first state championship in 31 years. The Natrona girls won a state title for the first time since 2009 thanks to 2 state titles in the jumping events from Kaitlyn Barnes, 3 more titles in the distance races from Molly Olson and 3 more from Lauren Taubert who took the high jump and both of the hurdle races.
