Northwest Advances to Volleyball Semi-Finals

Northwest of Powell won 2 matches yesterday in the National Junior College Volleyball Championships at the Casper Events Center so that put them in the semi-final round on Friday night to take on 2nd seeded Western Nebraska. The Trappers are the 3rd seed and defeated Hill College from Texas in the opening round and beat Polk State from Florida in the quarterfinal round to up their record to 33-4. Northwest finished 4th at last years tournament and 8th the year before that. The top seed in the national tournament, Southern Idaho will play Hillsborough, Florida in the other semi-final on Friday night with the national championship match set for Saturday night at the Casper Events Center.
