In the baseball playoffs, San Francisco and Oakland picked up wins to stay alive in their respective divisional best of 5 series'. In the National League, San Francisco posted a 2-1 road win in 10-innings. The Giants win this game despite striking out 16 times and now trail in the series 2 games to 1. The other divisional series in the National League has Washington hosting St. Louis with that series even at 1 game apiece.

In the American League, Oakland lives to see another day beating Detroit 2-0. Former Casper player Seth Smith with a home run in that game for the A's who now trail the Tigers 2 game to 1. In the other American League series, New York will host Baltimore with that series even at a game apiece. All four divisional series games will be played today and tonight.

With the departure of Colorado  Rockies Manager Jim Tracy,  the assistant coaches are also on the way out. Hitting Coach Carney Langsford has been let go. The Rockies as a team hit .274 this season but a dismal .241 on the road. Bench Coach Rich Dauer is also out after 7 seasons. The Rockies lost 98 games this past season, the worst in franchise history. Tracy who resigned over the weekend, is forfeiting $1.4 million that was left on his contract for next season.

Wyoming high school football enters the final two weeks of the regular season this weekend. The Prep Game of the Week on AM 1400 ESPN has Kelly Walsh hosting 3rd ranked  Sheridan. The Trojans (4-3) are coming off a 57-22 win over Cheyenne South, and Sheridan (5-2) defeated Laramie 49-6. Kickoff for the Trojans/Broncs is at 7:00pm with the pregame show at 6:45. Top ranked Natrona will be on the road for the first time since Aug. 31st when they travel to Laramie. The Mustangs (7-0) have locked up one of the two top seeds along with Gillette for the upcoming playoffs. NC beat Evanston 51-7 for Homecoming last Friday. The Plainsmen are 1-7 on the season.
