Luke Martinez Suspended From Cowboys-Daily Sports Update

The Wyoming Cowboys have suspended Luke Martinez indefinitely after his arrest, following an incident outside a Laramie bar back on December 30th. Martinez broke his hand in the incident outside the Buckhorn back on the 30th and was charged with aggravated assault which is a felony. Martinez is the Pokes 2nd leading scorer averaging 14 points a game and leads the team in 3 pointers made and 3 pointers attempted. He was expected to miss at least the rest of the month with that broken hand. The Cowboys 14-1 on the season and 1-1 in Mountain West Conference play will be at Fresno State Wednesday night.

The Casper College basketball teams return to action on Wednesday night when they are at Little Big Horn College in Hardin, Montana. Both T-Bird teams picked up wins in the Region-IX north region over Northwest College of Powell on Saturday. They return home Saturday for a doubleheader with Gillette College at Erickson Gym.

The Prep Basketball Game of the Week this Friday night has the Kelly Walsh Trojans on the road to Green River to play the Wolves. Pregame show is at 7:15pm with the tip-off at 7:30 on AM 1400 ESPN. Kelly Walsh will then travel to Evanston on Saturday afternoon. Natrona boys will be in Evanston on Friday night and Green River on Saturday afternoon. The Natrona and Kelly Walsh girls teams will host Green River and Evanston this weekend.
