The Wyoming High School State Wrestling Tournament wrapped up Saturday night at the Casper Events Center. Gillette won their 11th consecutive 4A title, Powell repeated in 3A and Moorcroft won the 2A title. In the 4A ranks, 5 Casper wrestlers were in the finals, but just one took home a state championship and that was Natrona's Greg Lensert at 220 lbs., beating Cody Delk of Sheridan. Finishing state runnerup were Kelly Walsh's Tannar Galey at 138, Natrona's Casey Brown at 152, Natrona's Breckon Biggs was defeated at 160 and NC's Colter Bentley was defeated at heavyweight.

The Casper College T-Bird men's team will host the Region-IX Tournament starting this weekend as they beat Sheridan College Saturday 90-82. Their first game is Saturday night at 8:00pm at Erickson Gym when they play Western Nebraska. The Casper Lady T-Birds are the 4th seed in the Region-IX Tournament in Scottsbluff and will play Lamar, Colorado on Sunday in the opening round. Both teams will wrap up the regular season Tuesday at Eastern Wyoming in Torrington.

The Wyoming Cowboys were crunched by UNLV on Saturday 65-42. The Cowboys played without leading scorer and rebounder Leonard Washington who continues to nurse a sprained ankle. The Pokes with the loss drop to 4-9 in the Mountain West Conference and 18-9 overall. The Cowboys will be at Air Force on Tuesday night.

The Wyoming Cowgirls beat UNLV on the road Saturday 64-60. U-W is now 9-4 in the MWC and 20-6 overall. Kayla Woodward led the Cowboys in scoring with 15 points. They will host Air Force on Wednesday night.

The 4A West Conference Basketball Tournaments will be played this Thursday through Saturday at Green River High School. AM 1400 ESPN will have coverage of all of the Natrona and Kelly Walsh boys and Girls games.
